Ingredients

  • 2 cups Milk
  • 4 cups Bread dry, torn into pieces
  • 1/4 cup Butter melted
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 2 large Eggs slightly beaten
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 cup Seedless Raisins
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 Strawberries optional
  • 1 Whipped Cream optional

Directions

  1. Butter a 1 1/2 qt. Casserole dish and set aside.
  2. Heat milk to scalding and poor over bread.
  3. Lightly mix, then allow to cool.
  4. Add remaining ingredients, stir well, and pour into casserole.
  5. Bake at 350° f (180° c) for 40 to 50 minutes, or until knife inserted into center comes out clean.
  6. Serve warm and top with strawberries and whipped cream if desired.
