Ingredients

  • 2 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp Ground Cloves
  • 1 cup Chocolate Chips
  • 1 cup Walnuts chopped
  • 1/2 cup Dates chopped
  • 1/2 cup Vegetable Shortening
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 Eggs
  • 1 cup Persimmons

Directions

  1. Wash persimmons well.
  2. Remove stem. Place in blender withor without skins to make pulp.
  3. Mix together all dry ingredients except sugar.
  4. Add chocolate chips, nuts and dates to dry ingredients.
  5. Stir until all coated.
  6. Cream sugar, shortening, egg together. Add persimmons.
  7. Mix well.
  8. Stir into first mixture and blend well. Drop by teaspoons onto buttered cookie sheet.
  9. Make about 3 dozens.
  10. Bake 12 to 15 minutes in 350° f (180° c) oven.
