Ingredients

  • 1 pound Green Beans trimmed
  • 1 pound Wax Beans trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons Extra-Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1/4 cup Balsamic Vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp Kosher Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper freshly ground
  • 3 cups Cherry Tomatoes halved
  • 1 cup Basil loosely packed, coarsely chopped
  • 1/2 cup Red Onion finely chopped
  • 1 Basil sprigs (optional)

Directions

  1. Cook green and wax beans in boiling water 5 minutes.
  2. Drain and plunge beans into ice water; drain.
  3. Combine vinegar, oil, salt, and pepper.
  4. Add beans, tomatoes, basil leaves, and onion; toss gently.
  5. Cover and chill.
  6. Garnish with basil sprigs, if desired
