Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 large Onions finely chopped
  • 1/2 Celery head, finely chopped
  • 110 grams Walnuts finely chopped
  • 2 Granny Smith Apples dessert, unpeeled and finely chopped
  • 450 grams Chestnut Puree unsweetened
  • 450 grams Sausage Meat
  • 225 grams Whole Wheat Bread Crumbs
  • 2 large Eggs beaten
  • 2 tablespoons Parsley Flakes flat-leaf, finely chopped
  • 1 Salt And Black Pepper fresh ground to taste
  • 450 grams Chestnuts vacuum-packed, quartered

Directions

  1. Heat the oil in a frying pan over a gentle heat.
  2. Add the onion, celery, walnuts and apple and fry until golden and softened.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a large bowl and add the remaining ingredients, mixing well.
  4. Use the mixture to stuff the turkey.
  5. Alternatively, the mixture can be cooked for about 30 minutes in a separate roasting tin.
